Tinting & Toning

Recovering after a stitched up 4" gash across my scalp and feeling bored needed to get creative!
I know this might be a bit too arty and all that but, seriously, I would like some constructive feedback. It's a process I am just experimenting with and I do like it myself but wonder what others feel about it.

cheers, Lilly

Great idea, well exectuted. I wonder if you could ditch the car in this though, and perhaps the car in the background as well.

I like the toning very much.

Hi Lilly,I like the the toning/tinting very much, generally the picture(for me)has a disturbing David Lynch kind of feel, hubcap falling off, moody sky,out of focus girls face.tilting roof line. The ''chopped''street light is probably a step too far though, but unless you have cropped this image, not much you can do there except a bit of adventerous cloning
Sorry to here about the gashed head.Don't forget to get a close-up of that in case there's a compo on hospitals!!
Get well soon. Tony.

Cool idea. What I don't like is:
1. sky - looks odd somehow and I think there is more to get from this sky.
2. lamp post - it's too prominent. I think cloning out is the only option.
3. car in the left background - I don't like that it is cut through the bonnet.
4. car on the right - for my taste there should be a little less of it.
5. the slight inclination of the roof - but maybe that's good?

But it is a great picture and I like it. The girl is great (and I love that shadow - would make a wonderful picture taken from top) and the toning and tinting works very well (apart from the sky).

One question remains: What brought on that 4" gash?

Thanks guys, good comments already!

The top of my scalp met the kebab shops metal window frame as I tripped over raised pavement yesterday morning.. Incredibly, my K20 and battery grip which was around my neck with one arm through strap - SURVIVED!which was a huge relief after I was announced OK. I think thats why the head copped it, was too intent on cradling K20!!!

Edited copy for those kind enough to comment. Better?
Yes I agree, lamp post and left car had to go, but, other car has to stay for me.
What a compliment, loved David Lynch movies!

Yes, better. It makes a big difference I think.

Being compared to David Lynch movies is a great compliment as well.
