I'm itching to get going but meanwhile, in return for my 'indulgence', there are some household jobs that need attending to

I'm now the proud owner of a K70.
(But I won't change my username !)
For those, like me, who haven't been to SRS I highly recommend it - even my wife was impressed by the selection and service.
Now I just need to get out and put the K70 through it's paces !

I think this is a sharp reminder that it is the photographer that makes the picture, not the kit !

This is a 100% crop - i.e. 'actual pixels'

Like Nigelk I got mine as the kit lens with my K50 and it is my most used lens.
I've never had any problems with speed or accuracy of AF and I find it an excellent pseudo macro lens at 135mm (the drawback being the minimum focus distance). Here is an example :-

I do feel it is a bit on the expensive side to buy 'full price' on it's own but when available on offers it is worth a hard look.
There were some bad reviews when it was first released but since I got mine 2 years ago the quality seems to be consistently good. Therefore, if you decide to go 'used' make sure it is not too old ?

They are that good that you will now never convince 'her indoors' that you need a K1
As others have said, it's not the kit but the photographer that MAKES the images.
Well done

But a camera is so much more than a sensor in a box. And it is often the physical aspects, controls and interfaces, accessory options and technical photographic aids included that will ensure the best capture. For me, I would still regard the K7 as a superior camera to the K70.
I can see your points in the first 2 sentances however, whilst I appreciate that you have a vested interest, I'm puzzled as to where the K7 excels over the K70 ?
Can you please put me out of my misery ?
Thanks

However, what's wrong with you lot - you should try the Caen Hill flight at Devizes - there are around 35 locks in all there !
I did it with my son 10 years ago on a windy day and it took us 5 hours to complete, even with 2 'runners' going ahead and preparing the next lock ready for us.
THAT's what you call a Flight !
