Tim: No, it doesn't quite answer my query. What I was asking was how to use the waste white space to the right of a vertical uploaded image, instead of the caption details going underneath as usual. I want a way to put the WORDS in the waste space on the right and the vertical image on the left.

Tim: Thanks for the info: didn't quite understand as when I clicked on the links the SAME pic came up in Website.com.

Well, I finally ventured onto the dreaded DIGITAL bit ! Had alook at some posts; can't understand the lingo on most ! Anyway, having found out how to upload pics from another 'host' site I wonder how you can put the vertical ones side-by-sidethus saving space on the upload. When I click in 'copy'and 'paste' into this site the technical stuff goes right across and I can't find a way to type in words on the side or to put the pics two across if you see what I mean .

Here's some shots taken on my £10 135mm SMC Takumar f2.5 lens; maybe they are not 'sharpened' enough for upload but they look good projected. At last I can show some PENTAX stuff, some of which is a bit old ( But Old Pentaxers Never Die, they Only Fade Away )

Paragon : Just found your query, I thought everyone had finished with these pics! Well, when I was given this computer by sister-in-law it came with a flatbed PRINTS ONLY scanner, then I did some free processing for a broke friend at the camera club and he gave me an Epson Perfection 1650 A4 scanner with the light above the glass and a home-made cardboard cut-out thing to scan 6x6 format as well as the proper plastic holder for 35mm in strips of 6 and on the other side 4 holders for mounted 2x2 slides. He put on the software for me. It does do 16-on medium format well, 6x6 and 6x7 ( very diffficult as a box keeps coming up saying 'cannot locate film, please try again when the film is right UNDER the light - stupid thing! ) I was shown how to scan using it manually. I'm not sure about the resolution settings; how high to scan when the final image is only to be shown on a computer screen; I do them at 300 ppi and downsize to 72 ppi resolution. The original scanner I use still for PRINTS and do the same. I hope I am doing it right.

At LAST ! I seem to have cracked how to get pics into this site Forum !
Clovelly: 24mm f3.5 SMC Takumar, Konica 200 ASA film, neg scanned, image fiddled in photoshop to remove some 'modern' stuff then toned.
Lady with Umbrella at Henley Regatta: 105mm SMC Takumar, Perutz Slide film scanned.

I have just been told that Mary Walker who organises Focus charges more than PHOTOKINA Germany for her exhibition stands and manufacturers are not going to pay the PRICE wanted especially as the PMA show in Las Vegas clashes; this year the PMA show is on 6th March and manufacturers will hold out interesting goodies until then as it is much CHEAPER to exhibit there. ( Ice Cream is also Half the Price in the USA ! )

Yes: Had nice surprise myself to find I had won a place in the 'gallery' with a 6x7 tranny taken on the ePHOTOzine Epping Forest trip I attended!
I can choose a book such as 'How to Use Your Digital Camera' which is NO use for this Old Film Bloke OR a Pentax XtraFlash which my wife says is more useful as she wants me to get rid of the books I already have to Brentwood Photographic CLub ! Wish they still gave FILM as prizes !

Talking about DENVER: I went there with the Pentax Club some years ago; here are two shots on Kodachrome 64, a bit dark and blue, that I found in a box of slides and scanned for another site. Pentax ME Super.

Love the one of Glencoe with rainbow: I stayed in the Youth Hostel in Glencoe about 40 years ago and played the piano there; wonder if it's still in tune ?
