I got the 75mm shift lens years ago only because an employee at the suppliers picked up and sent me the wrong box ! ( I contemplated owning up but didn't ) . I have used it a lot for architecture; there is a fall-off in illumination the more you shift, needing extra exposure. There are NO known tilting bellows for medium format as far as I know, so you will NOT be able to achieve the 'Schiempflug effect' as you could easily on a 5x4" camera by tilting the front lens panel to get more depth of field.

Thanks for all your replies: I am still 'new' to the EBay lark ! There are definitely some dodgy people on there; I was bidding on an expensive lens;in the bidders' list it had 'identity concealed'on all the prices, then I had a 'second chance'offer sent to me, the seller was in Dagenham, Essex not far from me BUT he had zero feedback and had only just joined EBay so I thought I would wait; then the lens came up again; then in a different list the SAME lens came up with the 'identity concealed' buyer again ! It was the same seller from Dagenham- three times the same item and you couldn't see who was bidding ! Also, again I had about 6 'Second Chance'offers for another lens, most from USA, one from Italy, one from Western Australia even ALL supposedly being the seller who I KNEW was from the UK ! How could all these people from all over the world be the seller? They had my user-name AND my real name and left messages on my computer e-mail and in EBay'My Messages' too; hope they are not getting my identity for fraud, it makes me worried !

How HONEST do you think Ebay sellers are ? I have bought a 16-0n kit for Rolleicord and some 220 outdated film for my Pentax 6x7 and have paid by Paypal last week and am STILL WAITING for the goods to arrive ( two different sellers) . How SOON should one expect delivery when something is won on E Bay ? Maybe someone on this Forum can advise.
Peter.

Jusr read the messages re Friday night Club meetings- well, the Brentwood Club had Tuesday meetings forty years ago, in a Toc H nissan hut then it had to be pulled down, then met in a pub until it was found members were not coming back into the meeting after the interval! Then the committee were offered rent in Friends' Meeting House Shenfield BUT the only night available was Friday - we are lucky to get any room to meet as space is not available much in Brentwood.

Iv'e been in Clubs since 1951 ( East Ham Grammar School Photo-Soc), then South Essex Camera Club, then Barking P.S now I am President of Brentwood & District Photographic Club here in deepest Essex.
I used to run the Essex Group of the Pentax Club of Great Britain until I had divorce worries. It was very hard getting anyone to turn up to meetings. I got the computer readout of members in Essex given me from the Pentax Club office and contacted personally dozens of members to try to get them to attend. At one stage we had a regular attendance in my house of around 20, then I hired rooms in Brentwood and ran many meetings there. When I gave up it seems to have fizzled out although the Kent Group is still going. The Brentwood town club has over 60 members, 9 nationalites and traditional and digital interests . I organise weekend events and workshops as well as the normal Friday meetings, which is NOT a good night to get new members as the excuse is " That is the night I go out with my mates to the pub after work "

I was given a P30 body FREE and having used it I still prefer my ME Supers! The P30 dosesn't have a standard flash plug for studio or the Metz flash I use either. It's a bind having to remember to take out a hot shoe adapter every time.No trouble with the ME Super!

I have the 200mm SMC Takumar prime lens bought new for £69 and although the lubricant is now very stiff I keep it as it does give very good results for close-ups with Pentax screw extension tubes.

Has anyone here seen the news story that Pentax is being forced to stop selling the 6x7 and 645 film cameras in Europe because they contain LEAD SOLDERING in the electronic circuits?
I read about it and also Hasselbald is stopping production of the X-Pan with immediate effect because of ruling from Brussels about the lead content.

I agree with the others about Incident Metering: I use my Weston Master V with invercone and have no trouble with slide films; it also depends on if the SHUTTER SPEED is accurate if you are not using TTL metering. The electonic shutter should be OK but I have had my Spotmatic tested (clockwork shutter) and 1/500th and 1/1000th are running fast so would cause under-exposure.
