The K7 has a 1-100 shot, 0-24 hour interval timer, The built in wireless flash has only recently been introduced to Canon and as far as i know Pentax is the only one to have the Front and Rear Infra Red remote recievers. Oh and what about Face detection? Does any other DSLR apart from K7 have that?

R A F Memorial Flight sounds a bit gloomy! As for the BBMF,I do think that it is misleading to younger people as they will probably be left with the impression that Lanc`s took part in the Battle of Britain! How about BBMF accompanied by the Avro Lancaster?

Superb lens, I bought mine along with the K7 and DA*16-50 last summer. It has been well used ever since!

Njce and crisp! Great lens isn`t it! And so quiet on the K7! The only drawbacks that i have found with using the 16-50 is that if you use the built in flash you will get a dirty great shadow so you must use a separate Flash and use the built in one as trigger flash only, The second thing to watch out for is that it blocks the A/F assist light, Though if you remove the hood it will still be just about O.k, Thirdly if you use Cokin P or equivalent square filters you will get vignetting at anything wider than 18mm. Otherwise i love this lens!

Happy shooting!

I can't really choose an answer from the poll as it very much depends on the UK weather - in other words it's anybodys guess !!

Simon
Simon,

That sounds like an 'ad hoc / as needs' answer for you then.
If the poll read "when do you take your camera" it would have been easy to answer as it's everytime I venture to the coast/Snowdonia etc - over time though I've decided that certain lighting just doesn't work well so sometimes it never leaves my rucksac - wouldn't risk leaving it at home though as I might miss fleeting opportunities like this one...

Any photographer going to black point lighthouse, Penmon WITHOUT a camera should be ashamed of himself!
Nice rainbow by the way!

I was the subject of the article and my reaction to the caption was the same as yours. The aircraft was photographed at the Biggin Hill Air Fair. All of the shots that I submited for the article carried the correct captions. The error was created by the magazine editors. They do not send you a draft, so you can imagine my feelings when I received the magazine!

Hi John,

Nice images, I particularly like the diving gull, The Mirage 2000 caught my eye first being a former Aircraft buff! The caption just made me giggle at the thought that the BBMF could operate a French Jet!
It does`nt detract anything from the images though!
My most irritating experience was when i got my first magazine cover shot they credited the picture to someone else!(That was not PU Mag by the way)I had to wait until the next quarterly edition for an apology and a correction.
Really though If you think about it, Even the Lancaster is out of place in the BBMF, As they were`nt around during the Battle of Britain. (To go even further most of the Spit`s flown by the BBMF are later marks.)
Perhaps they should rename as the WW2 Memorial Flight?

Congratulations on the article.

Best Regards - Pete.

I bought mine in 1975 for £13 so allowing for inflation it`s not very much different. Without actually checking i`m pretty sure the Olympus equivalent is much dearer still.
