A recent comment on PU got me thinking - how often do we actually grab a camera and commit photography?

There's bound to be some diversity in the answers, perhaps brought about by the opportunities each of us has available.

Any observations and thoughts?

At least once weekly for me. Left to my own devices I would be out somewhere every day I think, but work and other aspects of life get in the way. That said, I do make a bit of time every weekend (usually early sunday) to get out on my bike with the K-7. I am quite intrigued by some of the sets on flickr where people obviously take a pic a day for the whole year... maybe I'll do that myself next year

This appears to be your first post here Sandeep, so welcome from the Pentax people here (and G'day from me). Thanks for responding.

I can't really choose an answer from the poll as it very much depends on the UK weather - in other words it's anybodys guess !!

Mat - I'm with you. Weekly, owing to other priorities.

Mike-P - I've been thinking about lugging the backpack to a few more places - do you take the whole kit, or just the camera with an attached lens?

Simon,

That sounds like an 'ad hoc / as needs' answer for you then.

The new weather resistant bodies and lenses leave us with no excuse! There are plenty of terrific images to be had in the rain, and it is somewhat liberating.

As for when do I use my cameras - every day, every opportunity. That's why it's not a problem finding 365 images a year for ePHOTOzine!
Best regards, John

Fair point John, for the kit and DA* lenses, as well as a fair number of the bodies. It's a pity the Kx isn't...

Not that frequently at the moment.

I go through periods of using it a lot, but at the moment it hasn't been touched for a couple of weeks. Too many other things on my mind.

However I have set myself a new project so it will have to get used now, as I have a deadline of my brother's birthday.

I have a Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 containing my gripped K10D with Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 attached. Also in there is DA 16-45mm, FA 50mm f1.7, Pentax AF-200T flash, Sigma 1.4x teleconverter, 35mm macro tube, 2 spare batteries, 2 spare memory cards, spare set of AAs for flash and a few other bits and bobs. Its actually a very compact kit and just fits in my work locker.

I'm with Sandeep! On the occasional day I do leave the camera at home, I often regret it. What lenses etc I take depends how long i'm away for, where i'm going, and what else I need to fit in my bag.
