Very nice, I like the first shot especially. The tonality of the sky in no. 2 is beautiful though. Do you think there's an extra bit of image quality with full frame? I'd be interested in your thoughts on the 20-35 once you've had more time with it. I'm always looking for cheaper lens option Some of the samples I've seen with it on Flickr didn't convince me but these look great.

It's awful but when you start thinking about the lenses you'd need to upgrade to get the K1, you realise you don't really have to constrain yourself to the Pentax system. You need to do a little list for yourself and tot up what you'd need to spend, what you'd get for selling your own lenses, and what you can keep to use on the new system whether it's Pentax FF or Sony. Old MF glass will work on either system. Possibly slightly better adapted for Sony.

I'm perfectly satisfied using a 5 year old camera. I'd probably be happy enough with a K10D to be honest!

However aside from what we personally want and need, we want Pentax to continue to exist, as well.

˄ Agree.

In terms of tech Canon and Nikon are perceived as playing catch up with Sony FF mirrorless right now, but Pentax seems to still be playing catch up with where Canon and Nikon were several years ago. Pentax can't rely on sensor/image quality any more, now it's the camera features that make the difference. Saying 'oh well we used to manage with single point AF' etc isn't going to cut it with the mass market or reviewers.
