Now I am depressed.

I have been a member of the DA*50-135 owners club for about 12 hours now (having found no negative feedback on them anywhere).

I have two in-lens focus motor lenses, the 50-135 and a Sigma 150-500, and I was surprised to find that the Sigma seems faster to focus and quieter than the Pentax so far.

Yes, Oggy, but in the K20D the options are Auto or On, while in the K200D the options are Off or On.
Sorry

I saw the settings while exploring but have not yet got round to trying them out yet.

Sorry to ressurect an ancient thread, and for heracy, my first slr was an OM1 which I bought second hand in 1985. It has since proved Oggyproof, and that's saying something. To give an idea, I was 17 when I passed my bike test, and 31 when I was blackmailed into taking a car test. Olly and everything else owned took a real beating being thrashed around Britain and Europe strapped to some part of my bike.

Just recently I dragged Olly out, and it is still silky smooth, tight and a pleasure to handle. Top engineering.

My current K20D is a thousand times more capable, abd the kit lenses (18-55 and 55-300) are lighter and more capable, but they feel like a bag of spanners compared with Olly.

On my K200D the Custom Settings menu allows both Slow Shutter Speed NR and High-ISO NR to be switched off. Very useful. I find it strange that this possibility does not exist in the K20D.

Maybe a good thing I opted for the K200D after all...
Items 17 and 18 on the Custom menu.

Once I would have found it hard to be now.
Now I am, and very soon you'll be
