Gareth is right, the colour saturation is exactly what I wanted. The sliders in cameraRaw could have gone much further, but I have have settled on about 50%. The shot itself I think lends itself to such punchy colours.

These are just the lenses that were available only in Japan and Europe. They have just decided to sell them to the rest of the world again.

Yes and no, I did want an extender that gives extra reach, yet I want to keep the IQ of a good quality one. Thank god that Pentax has delivered with the first one in 25+ years. The Jessops is okay, just, but no AF (bad)

To say I am delighted with the new converter is an understatement. It is all that I have wanted in a converter.

Nice shots. I don't have the Tamron 70-300, I got the Sigma version instead at the time. I wish I got the Tamron TBH, as it is a very good lens. Having said that the Pentax 55-300 is better, but you cannot use it on FF.

Are you able to compare it with the 1.7 AF converter?

Unfortunately not, I don't have the 1.7TC. I do have a non-AF Jessops 2x though, which is okay.

Taken with the DA*300 and the HD-DA 1.4x converter. You have got to love this converter, it is superb.
