Getting film processed and digitized is best to look for a local place.
I have looked at new scanners and you either get cheap(and not so cheerful) or very expensive. The Plustek is a good option, as is the Nikon Coolscan. Then again the Nikon is rare now, I should have bought one years ago.
Even now, I either rely on my HP printer/scanner which had a dedicated film scan, or pop over to a couple of places in Manchester. Actually I think one of the places I used do have a web service. Try DC Colour Labs in Didsbury.

Nice and desirable combo. It would be interesting to know how close the GXR with the 33mm F2.5 Macro (I call it that as I don't like the way Ricoh called it a 50mm, its a 33mm. Call it OCD if you like) and the 35mm Ltd Macro on the K-5. I am sure that you will get the A12 module and a Leica 35mm Summicron to compare too

In the end though, it is a shame that the GXR failed to alight the photoworld as the concept is excellent.
The GR however I just cannot justify getting one, I don't have the pennies, even though it is a mighty camera and the Nikon A destroyer

I am lucky to have a good mix, and I will go to where I am going with and appropriate mix. Sometimes all zoom, sometimes all prime. Sometimes a mix.

It depends on your budget as all are good.
However, there is one default choice in your list. The DA*50-135. Whatever you do, get that lens. It is mighty.
Then, you have a choice.
Get the DA*16-50. But also get the plastic fantastic DA50 as well for shallow DOF creative stuff.
Or, get the Prime quads - 15mm, 21mm, 35mm (either Ltd or F2.4) and DA50

Only you know the answer to the question, that is half the fun or getting lenses, and Most Pentax lenses are fantastic. Which ever route you take you can save up and slowly get the others. That is what I did.

Excellent footage. I just love the voice-overs of the era, Very Queens English. Delightful.

Thanks Barrie. You have chosen the one taken with the DA50. I think you are right, I was probably a little too sparing with the aperture with the siggy shot. It was at F3.5 and considering it was 1/2000 sec, I should have stopped down to F8 and still have enough speed.
The blue is a little darker due to the second shot actually been taken 1 hour later too.

I like it, apart from the lean to the left (which I didn't notice until Smeggy pointed it out) and I'm not sure about the vapour trail (not that there's much you could have done about it) but I'm not suggesting you should clone it out.

Was this with the DA10-17?
It was indeed John. I love the 10-17 it is fun.

Like you, I did'nt notice the slight lean to the left. but a little tweak on the original should sort that.

I love the composition, although please straighten it up ( Vertical centre line leans to the left )

As for the bold colours ..... it gets a thumbs up for being bold but the actual colours ain't my bag

The title in the top left and copyright warning in the bottom right are totally distracting.
I did'nt notice the vertical, but looking at it again, I think you are right. I will straighten the original before I print it off. It is certainly a shot that I am going to print large.

As for the title and copyright, It is what I normally do for Flickr. I have just uploaded the Flickr shot for here as well

Thats fine Nigel. We all have our preferences. If we all liked the same, the world would be a very boring place.
The important thing is that the photo has generated critique, as opposed to nothing, and that is a good thing.
