The only thing you want to consider is to have international warranty, and not US only.
I have bought plenty from america, and always been very happy. Most of the times I've had a friend bring the item over, rather than ship it. When I first got my K10 in late 2006 I had to pay around £50 at the delivery for customs charges.

Definitely not only street but also public places; I am sorry I haven't specified this in the description.
David, I remember the previous competition (which you won..!!!), and I tried to make clear that I am specifically looking for portraits of people, and only people, in the street (and public places ).

have not tried it with the teleconverter yet, because I haven't needed it .You might want to consider what range (and type of photography) you need the lens for, then it will be easier to assess if you need a 200 or 300.
