Sold all my Pentax gear and moved to m4/3 a few months ago and like using GX7 and GH4 but weather proof gear for this time of year I don't have and the weather resistant lenses for gh4 are expensive. So have picked up K50 with 18-135 and 55-300WR for just under 700 pounds. I had a k30 and read this is more or less the same so it was a no brainer for me. I did have a K3 but too heavy for me and with the lenses I had I liked the images from K30 more than the K3.

I am not a great user of this or any other website as I do not have the time. I joined over a year ago and have posted a few pictures and thanks for any comments from everyone . This site was a great help for me getting to know my Pentax gear but some comments and attitude from both members/ ex members and admin of this site have not been very nice. It would be nice if this site was a little bit more relaxed with a broader option for comments on a wider range of subjects ( use of other cameras etc } No need for me to expand this post as I am selling all my Pentax gear today to move to mirrorless ........{ wont mention the brand in case this post is deleted } just a joke! ok/
Anyway hope this site gets sorted and again thanks for the help .

I did not see the original post but many years ago I had severe depression and the saying of not wishing it on worst enemy is true. I cannot explain how I felt because I have not got the words in me.
I am not a great user of this site but just post a few snaps and any comments that I get are nice to have. However I think that Pentax is a small community and I see lots of people posting a lot of comments on a regular basis so I think it would be nice to have a members forum that any subject could be spoken about, after all this is a site that should be run for what members want and not what someone else wants. It is like all people in charge of others they " do as I say not as I do " every government I can remember only gets talking near to elections and then for five years do not give a dam what anyone thinks. Perhaps some senior members may be able to contact the people who run this site and ask for a comment.

I think[ sorry if I have got this wrong } using your manual lens in manual mode if you go to menu4 e dial programing and set the green button to tv in M mode, this will allow you to press to green button to stop down and meter for exposure.
Have not used my old lenses for a while but sure this is on the net somewhere

I am only a snapper really but had some fun when I went to purchase a Pentax K3 and tested the salesmen telling them first I think Nikon / then maybe new Fuji and every time they just agreed with me and told me that was the best.... took a few minutes to consider all there advice then told them I had decided to buy a Pentax K3,
It was all good fun.
