They also have the 50-200 WR at £129 - here

You've got to love Currys descriptions though. "The Pentax AL SMC DA 35 mm Macro Lens has a 2.4 mm maximum aperture"

I've just collected one 35mm F2.4 AL lens from my local Curry's having ordered to collect online.

£89.97 but definitely not 'macro' as stated on paperwork so they haven't sold me a F2.8 LTD by mistake, shucks!

I can confirm they are in mint boxes labelled 'Pentax Ricoh Imaging' with the renamed 'Ricoh imaging Company' on 1 August 2013 leaflet inside.

Now to hunt down a lens hood that isn't nearly as dear as the lens.

Dropped to £79.97 and immediately out of stock, the Amazon price has gone back up to £120.

Prices are good, but its not a good sign I fear - snap them up I guess if you want them ... It may be there won't be Pentax in those shops anymore?

DSG have been "rationalising" their stock levels for some time. Walk into a PCWorld today and it's like a wasteland compared to what they used to be. I guess they are concentrating on stock they can move quickly and make the most profit on.

Mine was in a pristine box with the 'now Ricoh Pentax' leaflet inside. I'm guessing they were fulfilling the same role they have always had of being a clearance house for obsolete/over stock with manufacturers/importers.

Dixons were never a credible photography shop but I don't mind a bargain twhen it crops up. Lovely lens on my K5, now with a £3.99 Kood silicone fold back lens hood on. For the dear stuff SRS otherwise for me.

Currys at Wednesbury today,
35mm 2.4 £39
50-200 mm £59
Looks like no more Pentax at Currys.
I was tempted by the 35mm as a spare coz I already have one but did not in the end , for anyone who wants a fantastic bargain this is the one.
Dave.

Not anymore, all have been snapped up, speaking to the salesman who is ex Jessops, he stated he does not understand anyone buying Pentax and Currys have the same train of thought, as for Fuji they can't get them in fast enough.
