I've not had a bad eBay experience so far. I hope it stays that way.

I originally purchased a M40 2.8 from eBay out of curiosity rather than anything else. I figured if I found it too small or fiddly I could always sell it on for about the same price I purchased it for. I have found I really enjoy using it on a ME Super and am definitely going to keep it. It is a little gem.

No handling issues either and I can assure you I do have big bunches of bananas for fingers !

Cheers,

1, Another vote for the SDM converter.
2, Another vote for firmware updates for older DSLRs.

I used to use the A 24-50 a lot on film, where I was very happy with its performance. That said, I really can't see what advantages it would give you on the K7 over the kit 18-55, which for the money is a great lens.

What a monster. Have you ever tried taking some photos of the moon with it ?

As a sweeping generalisation I would say most recent remakes of earlier classics.

There arn't many beers I don't like to be honest. Now what shall I buy on the way home tonight ? Something strong, dark and warming I think.

I think all my favourite films have been included on other peoples lists with the exception of "This is Spinal Tap". I've seen it 100 times and it still makes me laugh.

The tiny Pentax 110 SLR has been mentioned a few times in other posts, so I thought I'd ask if anyone is still actually using them ?

What is the availably of 110 film these days, and where can you get it processed ?

The reason I ask is these cameras go for peanuts on ebay now, so I thought I might keep an eye open for a nice looking one. I might like to run the very occasional film though it too.

Cheers,

So what item in you kit gets the least use, but would be one of the last things you would contemplate parting with ?

For me perhaps my 400mm lens, I only use it for taking the odd photo of the moon, but I know I would regret it if I sold it. Anyone else out there find they only use their longest lenses (and perhaps most expensive glass) least of all ?

Cheers,
