Well, the only way you can use the older M (or K) lenses without shooting wide open, is in M-mode. So I thought this wouldnīt have to be mentioned. Sorry about that.

I compared shooting "green button metering" at f22 in M-mode, to Tv and Av-modes at f22 with an A lens.

The Av and Tv-mode images came out fine while the M-mode images were overexposed.

Anyone else who get overexposed images on small apertures and slightly underexposed wide open, when using manual lenses (50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.4 for example)?

I set the exposure with the green button first, to get the value. Then I check that with the stop down metering funktion on the on/off switch and itīs always ok. But I only get proper exposed images with around f4.

I have no experience with the Flek 35/2.4, but I read quite a bit about it on another forum I like to visit. I have the 20/2.8 and I enjoy it. Will probably be used some on the K10D.

Hello Oscar and thanks for your input. I think you have a point.

Most of my images are shot with a normal prime (50mm analog) and I guess thatīs something that Iīve grown into since way back. I might be old fashion, but I really enjoy the speed and the results of the primes and I seldom use the only zoom (A 35-105/3.5) I have, even though itīs pretty good.

Oh yes, I have peeped at the 31/1.8, no wonder. Itīs just that I can get both the K10D and a 35/2 for just a little bit more than what the 31mm Limited is, so finances har a bit do do with it. Maybe in he future....
