The K-m market is the area that Pentax need to target to survive. Nikons top selling DSLR is the D40, Canons the 1000D.

A lot of people whinge about Pentax not offereing full frame but I doubt there will be any significant sales there.

That is a good price. I thought Samsung gave a 2 year warranty as standard as well.

I also reckon they'll want to shift the stocks they have of the GX20 to promote their new bodies (with their own lens mount)

I was in my local Dixons / Currys the other day and they had a good stock of K-m's and K200D's they even had a couple of Pentax lenses and Flash guns.

The prices were a bit high though. Some other Dixons / Currys stores were selling GX20's too. It looks like Pentax has done a deal for them to stock Pentax cameras. Shame the prices arent that competitive.

If you think thats bad you should have seen the review they gave to the 50-135.

Either they got a dodgy copy or the Canikon lenses must have been brilliant - and having seen some pics with the 50-135 I'm not sure the Canikon lenses were any better.

The thing is that particular magasine IMO is terrible at reviews.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but i feel that there is less to go wrong with a screw drive and Pentax havent mastered SDM yet.

Whats the markII kit lens like compared to the 16-45?

I cant see the point of a full frame sensor personally.

The camera would cost too much and Pentax probably wouldnt sell enough the make the money back. Even the likes of Nikon havent exactly sold loads of D3's.

Then we have to think about the lenses...
