Had a quick play with it and wow, this lens is very good optically.
If anyone is after some cheap primes I'd recommend both of the plastic fantastic lenses and they can be had for bargain prices too.

I thought this was my k20 at first but its doing this on my k5ii as well, although the lens was fine on my k100.
The focus ring moves nice and smoothly.
So is this a problem with the lens, do people think it is fixable and how much am I looking at?

I guess i mustnt be that good with the flash either.
As for staying in control, thats the hard part! Fighting your way past all the guests with their SLR's and phone cameras.....

I had tried the camera out first at high iso first to see what i thought was acceptable. I rarely shot that high but there were a couple of instances where it was necessary and id rather have a shot at iso8000 than non at all or a blurry one. I'd also say iso 8000 looks better than 1600 on the K-20. Yes, there is noise on the K-5 but its very fine and on an A4 test print doesnt impact on the image quality (IMHO).
I didnt really want to use flash from the back of the church during the ceromony, I also didnt think it would have the reach either.
I had a friend there who also had a K-5 which was my first back up, then my K-20 as a second back up, so at least i was prepared for camera failure!

All i can say is wow! The image quality, autofocus speed and in particular the dymanic range and high iso performance left me speechless!
With my K-20 at iso 3200 i have little DR and have to spend a helluva lot of time afterward cleaning up the noise. with the K-5 i was shooting at iso 8000 (for a couple of shots) and they cleaned up easily in lightroom and still had plenty of dynamic range.
The down side to all this is that i now really want a K-5 and dont really want to use the K-20 anymore!
