Recently I've been using the Hybrio / Eneloop type NiMH cells because they have a MUCH longer shelf life. Regular NiMH will flatten themselves in a couple of weeks (you don't have to do anything at all!).
The good thing is if you shop around you can pick them up pretty cheap. I got some from 7dayshop for about £6, but my local Wilkinsons were selling packs of 4 for £5 - bargain!

I bought an FA50 from them and it arrived the next day!
Any further purchases I make will be from SRS.

The K200D despite getting 5/5 for features and image quality got hammered for a slow buffer and autofocus and was the 4th ranked camera in the group (at best), whilst the GX-10 did poorly as well.
I've never seen any Pentax gear get a good review in that mag.
I've read lens reviews for the 10-17 fisheye, 12-24, 16-50 and 55-200 they have all came out poorly in the group tests.:

(sorry if thats been posted before)
That should prove the K10D is well built
It impressed me anyway - coping with those temperatures, the vacuum of space and the hard landing!
