Cheers

A pal just got it today and one of mine is at the front by the contents page apparently. I missed the delivery man today so they took it back to Carlisle.

Certainly not my intention to remove the EXIF data - I've never seen the point of hiding my settings. They were just straight uploads to Flickr.

P.S You seem to be collecting some rather tasty lenses.
I weighed up where I was going and decided it was way too early for me to jump ship just to go FF elsewhere when I'm still learning my way in so I invested my savings in a variety of new lenses. Loving the limited primes to be honest. Lovely feel to them and beautiful colour and contrast. The little 40 is probably my favourite although the colour from the 31 is fabulous (and the 100 is definitely a bit special).

Very disappointed with the weather as I'd been looking forward to the trip for months and then had a real lift just vefore I went with two pictures commended in the Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards - one displayed full page in The Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago and both up in The National Theatre and in the book thats just come out.

God nows how it happened but on Sunday morning the 60-250 started flashing between M/AFC/AFS - couldn't work it out. Finally twigged that one of the wee contacts has broken off. Is this repairable? Hoping it is as its a bloody gorgeous lens and only a few weeks old.

Was away up in Skye and Sutherland last week for six days. Weather was fairly dire for the first few days on Skye. Raining heavily and gale force winds. Ended up using the 10 stopper quite a lot. Moved on to Sutherland and at first the conditions didn't improve. They finally started to get better the day we came home. After six 4.30am-5am starts in a row I was looking forward to a lie in but unfortunately the forecast was great so I headed up to Falcon Crag (overlooking Derwent Water) for dawn on Sunday. Beautiful misty morning - followed that up with a late afternoon wander through the grounds of Lowther Castle with the dog whilst my daughter rode her horse in front of us. Still loads to process but I've picked out a few that I quite like.

It was a very good subject and I apologise for not getting my entry in. I was all sorted with subject matter and had a day planned to complete it but got extremely busy and was left with no time.

A superb set - I also particularly like the evening ones. Third last is my favourite. Nice exposure and colour in the evening shots

Cheers for the comments but to be honest I was just posting about the 18-250. It was an excellent walk and there are a couple of spots I'll be going back for at dawn - good viewpoint for the rising sun. I doubt I'll be using the 18-250 for walking again. I'll stick to being weighed down with a bit extra kit. A nice tourist/travelling lens.

A nice varied set. Very impressed with the last one. Never attempted a shot with the ISO that high but it works very well and is certainly worth it.

The third one i wasn't entirely happy with the processing myself. Trying to accentuate the path looking towards Causey Pike which I thought was the stand out feature of the walk. I was trying to focus attention on the turbines as well. They looked like they were floating in air from the top of Grassmoor.
