Try a small thin elastic band attached to the 'base ring' of the filter (or in my case a CPL), hopefully this should afford a better grip for the fingers! I have used this a few times and now leave the band attached.

Tell me more about pic 5. That's a stunningly beautiful monument.
This rusting Memorial at Mountbatten is for the Flying Boats, sadly in need of a repaint these last few years. There's lots on line about it, please search online as I'm not fully up to scratch on this myself either, I know they flew Sunderlands to attack U-Boats in the Atlantic but that's my limited knowledge.

Thank you all peeps for the comments.
Steve, I have corrected the horizon on number 3 (hopefully, whoops).
No problem with your editing, crop away etc. I was reasonably happy with the shadows in my rocks in numbers 3 and 4, and close up in No. 4 especially, but your added contrast does improve it, and yes No.1 looks better cropped.
Here's the level horizon (hopefully,- I have one leg longer than the other)

Here's another POV of the same and this would definitely benefit from a crop I suspect;

Peter, going back at ideal times are not always possible at least not without a Pass from the 'Boss

"Why 'too harsh', Peter? (Serious question.) Learning for me from this."
Me too,

Thank you David.
This lens has been described as a great piece of engineering, or something like that. I can see why, internal focus, internal zoom, the elements, filter compatible, some FF at 16 to 18mm etc and sharpness everywhere. Not too heavy, AW resistance, Star rated. I've just got to hopefully get somewhere near it's performance level LOL.

Walking this morning with cloudy skies, almost midday with the KP all SOOC handheld, more boaty pictures with high tide and hope you don't mind a bit of scum. All C&C's welcome,

In Plymouth today during stormy and threatening clouds, took these with K1 and DFA* 85mm. All handheld and no PP except for when I lifted the curves for shadow where I underexposed. Having read the review today it spurred me to actually use it - heavy or not
