All excellent but my favourite is no.4, and if zoomed in, in effect cropped, I see perfect balance of bokeh and subject. IMHO. Wish I could get such sharp shots.

If you'd have gone for 15 to 20 seconds you wudda got them and you would have got a lovely shimmer on the surface of the water to.

I have even used ND and star filters at night to great effect.

I really like them but next time tey going long... i bet you'll get an epic surprise
Thanks Spad for the tips, I may well have a go when the weather improves!

Are they hand held or tripod, and what kind of exposure time where yiu using?
Woops, on't tripod ( did try handheld too but not sharp at below ~15th sec ?) , ISO 800, f13 and shot;

4 sec for No. 1
2 secs for No. 2
3 secs for No. 3.

It was a bit of a trial run with this lens and I wanted to keep a high f stop hoping for more starlights (which didn't quite workout) , and took a few at different shutter speeds. Then chose which I liked best, I will admit to just lifting the curve ever so slightly to the shadows. However they look good (to me) SOOC but I thought maybe too dark for here in the forum??

love the detail in the clouds, really make it for me. Do you mind me asking what settings you use for this type of light ?
Neil,
I used 1 & 1/2 stop underexposure, 1/180th sec and IIRC still on my tripod, I took many shots, some with a Grad filter but when the sun went behind clouds or down fully I removed it. This one probably had the grad filter on, f11, manual, ISO 100, metering=multi-segment, White balance = cloudy, custome image set to 'Bright'.
I tried various exposures and then pick and choose, highlights typically get blown but wondered if I could play in PP, all shot using Liveview BTW with 2 sec timer, this shot was SOOC.

Love the Street shots and the last one of the stars - would be nice in colour too showing the stars different colours.
