Not 'way over the top' simply great images. Nice one. I've been mulling over the 11-18mm and these are a show case of what it can do. Thank you.

Great pics man!
Just out of curiosity, does the K1 have the astrotracer pn it and did you use it?
Yes the K1 mkII has the inbuilt astrotracer which I did indeed use.
I have found why the colours have come to life in RT processing, I believe it's (mainly) LAB Adjustments settings "chromaticity according to chromaticity" - wonderful

ISO 800, 40 seconds, f2.8, at 18mm on the DA* 11-18.
I can't explain why the colours are there? need to investigate further....
I'm stunned at the colours, yes probably way over the top but then.....

All good clear pictures - what's not to like. i have been to Whitby a few times over the years, (last time 40 years ago) but can't say for sure if I've been to Runswick Bay. Thank you for sharing these.

No stacking, processed in Rawtherapee - which I'm still in the learning curve with. Oh I found that the WB was to me, better using the "Automatic - RGBgrey", I did try earlier to get more colour but failed and decided on this. So if anyone knows a better WB or method to improve please contribute.

A trick i was told to do is use the daylight setting on the white balance. It works really good. Did you also use aN LPF??
Ah, the camera was set to 'cloudy' in WB setting, where I had left it previously, so next time I get chance I'll try Daylight setting, thanks.
No filters used, other than a protective Hoya UV, I know the arguments against it tho. I feel safer with it on.
