Nice work Spad. I enjoy astro pics as I'm learning too, I hope you don't mind but as it's raining again I had a play with Rawtherapee on one of your pics. I tweaked contrast down a bit and played with less blue, noise reduction, when I clicked to enable "impulse noise reduction" an immediate change was seen; it removed some stars I must admit but overall I quite liked the change? Maybe it lowered contrast in effect, it's certainly darker, I don't know, but have a look and see what you yhink. I know pictures can be 'played' around with all day to get slightly different results, but hey ho.

BTW never stated it was using the K1 mkII and 28-105mm DFA WR, f11, 100 ISO and tripod, IIRC about 1/30th.

Whoops a senior moment, it's the first one that's SOOC. Not the third....

Rainy morning, now damp and miserable so I'm sharing these, I have hopefully resurrected these first two using RT, pics from a September evening, the third one is SOOC. Enjoy.

Same here, my visits to the Peak District were years ago and not to this area as far as I know/remember.

Nice set here, especially the last two. Is it the Cat and Fiddle that's popular with Bikers?

My choice is the last one, then 3 and 4, but all intriguing shots. A good night's work
