Number three does it for me, the grass and leaves plus a bit of sky too.

I'm for Number 1. Is the K20 full spectrum or set to a specific filter. I'd be interested to know what filter was used for these shots?

I have the invoice from Advanced Camera Services for the work. The part description says a 720nm IR Filter.

I've been shooting IR also with a Fuji full spectrum camera. It's a steep learning curve! If yours is a 720nm camera then I've had success with setting a custom white balance with the camera pointed at grass. It should turn your foliage bright white

With my 720 converted Pentax K-r, it is not always easy to get the optimum exposure. I don't know the technicalities but scenes often seem to have a very wide dynamic range of infrared light, so that it is easy to get the highlights poorly exposed.

As the scenes are usually quite static, chimping and viewing the histogram in the camera show when an adjusted reshoot is necessary to get a more balanced exposure. The histograms (in PC software) of the three images shown here indicate varying degrees of under-exposure.

That's becuase i shot them that way....

I am unconventional in my shooting and always have been... i like to play and shoot in a lateral thinking way!
