My fav is def. no 1a., what gorgeous colour - is it au naturelle or a filter?
only crit I wd say is I wd lop about a 1/4 off the top, letterbox format wd look real good.
3a, great in mono, but I think I wd be a bit more dramatic by contrast dodge & burn to bring the eye in.
BTW dirty senso marks in 1b, 2a, 2b...see how picky I am getting now

nice shots AJ

I have made an ACTION in CS3 of 'resize, 72dpi; 800 wide; save as jpg to a folder I have made up for images to web, it works for me and is a very quick for sending pics to forums.
I am really getting into ACTIONS now and rely on them a bit.

I made a concentrated effort this cold February Friday afternoon and went out armed with above new lens at last and tried to capture the atmosphere and architecture of my ancient market town.
It is easy to get addicted to this lens at the cost of not using the others in the bag, Mmmm however I do LOVE it and think the mono suits it well, anyway here are a few to share:

PS) Does the sharpening look OK, I am getting to the stage when I can't see the wood for the trees!

Thanks for sharing Galoot, takes me and my other half back, just been discussing a few old memories, we lived up there for 25 years when I worked for BP. We have been in the chippy a few times, my hubby even recognised the old guy on the left! Ferry used to leave at 1800hrs in our day, nothing stays the same.

I love no.2 also Gwyn, TBH if it was mine I wd be tempted to leave it as it is, I think blowing out the background to white wd make the image seem too shallow, the way it is gives the image depth and draws the eye in to those gorgeous greens.
Envy you the new printer, A3?

Nice set indeed, I do love love that half light in the evening....the perfect time to do night shots. I like no2 best with part silhouettes, just makes you want to stroll down that prom and watch the sunset.
