I've used VistaPrint several times with very good results. I've also used my local Jessops store once when I needed stuff in a hurry. They can print some options in-shop but have to order others in from printers.

I've found the VistaPrint size and layout options better for my needs. Check the various suppliers for the size(s) and layout(s) you want.

I often find myself jumping between settings for the likes of anything that's out of the ordinary. Swapping to spot metering for doing sun/backlit portraits etc, where anything other than spot will lead to underexposed heads. It's this sort of area that I'd like to see progress in, as in detecting the eyes to focus on, and exposing for the faces. I'd like a DSLR to up the game in those areas.

I understand that the latest Sony cameras have an eye focus function currently.
I saw a YouTube video (from the B&H set) that demonstrated this. The presenter demonstrated how useful it was at weddings etc. and said that this was primarily why he had switched to Sony.

OK. Given your response and after rereading your original message several times, I realise that your phrase 'this site' was probably referring to the PentaxUser forum.

Should there be a link somewhere?

There is a positive, if short, review of the K-3ii in the Novemver issue of Digital Camera magazine.

You can buy an external power supply that fits in place of the K-r/K30/K50 battery. They are available from USA via ebay :-

And here is one from the UK (No import duty.).

It can defintely be done for the Canon FD (35 mm) film SLR lenses. I bought an adaptor from eBay. Most seem to be made in Hong Kong or China.

A has already been mentioned, other lenses can only be used in manual mode, but you can set the lens's focal length in the camera and most Pentax cameras will show a red indicator in the viewfinder when focus is achived.

I had a look at both the the K-S2 and K3 at the weekend on a visit to WEX and was able to compare them to my K30. My thoughts FWIW.

I found that:-
- the button positioning is as good as the K30 (but see grip comment below);
- the menus seemed slightly simpler;
- the flick out screen works well
- and its hinge looks more robust than those on Canons;
- it is smaller and so possibly less intimidating to people being photographed;

although:-
- as per a previous comment, the grip is smaller (worse from me, but a personal thing so may be a plus point);
- the shape of the buttons in the navigation group means they are difficult to tell apart by feel alone (The K3 is best here.);
- the menus are in a new font. The size is about the same but the lines are thinner and so harder to read;
- despite the spec. saying that they are the same size, the active area of the screen seems slightly smaller due to the platic surround.

I wasn't able to compare picture quality.

The K3's button layout seems slightly better than both K30 and K-S2, except that the, order of the buttons in the navigation group is different from the K30. (It is in fact more like the earlier K-r.) Why do they keep moving them around?

I hope this helps.

Here. The author was reasonably impressed, apart from video performance, but didn't rate the 18-50mm collapsible lens.

There is also an initial article on the K3 II.
