Nice. I almost expect Gandalf to appear on the other side of the gate!

Thank you, Stephen, a spot-on comment! The sense of scale is definitely weaker without him

A lovely walk around Craflwyn Hall brought us to Llyn Dinas late afternoon, such a gorgeous location that I went back there for another go. Hope this is not overdoing things!

Thanks for the comments, all.

Mike, I did think of cloning out the boatman, but wasn't confident about not making a mess of it, so didn't. However, in the end I decided to have a go and this is the result. I can see that some might find the boatman a distraction from the main event, but not all would agree, I suppose.

I arrived in Barmouth as a base for two days walking the day before Storm Callum. That evening gave no hint of what the next two days would be like! We were only on the fringes, fortunately - other areas suffered far, far worse, of course.
Hope you like these. All K-3 and DA 16-85. A little lens flare here and there, but nothing that ruins the image completely, I think. Thanks for looking.

A great collection! I can see that the treatment may not be to everyone's taste, but I think it works particularly well on the things that man has made which are now (or are all but) obsolete. Very striking images!

Thanks to all for commenting so nicely. A few more of a different type still to come when I find time to do all the processing. Must remember that "less can be more" when it comes to pushing the shutter release!

Thank you all for your comments. I've been to Ireland quite a few times over the years (my wife's family is Irish), but I can't recall visiting anywhere as boldly colourful as this.

A few more from our travels this summer. A selection from the towns and villages of West Cork - Ardgroom, Castletownbere, Schull and Eyeries to name but a few. Hope they brighten your day like they did ours! All K-3 and DA 16-85.
