Barmouth - the calm before the storm

I arrived in Barmouth as a base for two days walking the day before Storm Callum. That evening gave no hint of what the next two days would be like! We were only on the fringes, fortunately - other areas suffered far, far worse, of course.
Hope you like these. All K-3 and DA 16-85. A little lens flare here and there, but nothing that ruins the image completely, I think. Thanks for looking.

Number 7 is the pick of the bunch for me although I would have cloned out the man with the boat.

Agree with comments above, they're good photographs and 7 takes the biscuit.

Although the man and boat takes away the directness of 7, I quite like the sense of purpose that he adds to the photograph.

Thanks for the comments, all.

Mike, I did think of cloning out the boatman, but wasn't confident about not making a mess of it, so didn't. However, in the end I decided to have a go and this is the result. I can see that some might find the boatman a distraction from the main event, but not all would agree, I suppose.

Keep the boatman, gives a sense of scale

Thank you, Stephen, a spot-on comment! The sense of scale is definitely weaker without him
