I'm a sucker for "big skies", especially the dramatic versions here! Having said that, every one a winner! Really good set!

Well, happy to have sparked a bit of interest - more photographers than professional farmers around, it seems!
As regards the different patterns in no.5, I had spotted an even more eye-catching set earlier in the day, but by the time I got back with the camera for the evening light, they had cleared up the fields and the patterns were all gone!
I don't think there's any hay involved, either, just mown grass to be used for sileage! Still, if it gives a bit of visual pleasure to us "townies", there's plenty of "wiggliness" around to please the eye at this time of year!
Thanks to all for your comments!

I have to admit to having thing about lines. Sometimes straight, sometimes curved; and preferably man-made on the ground. Here are a few from last evening to begin with. K3 with 50-135 and K70 with 28-105. Can't be easy mowing on hillsides like we have around here on the edge of the Pennines!

All but finished flowering now, the garden camelia has given us lots of lovely blooms this year, like this one:

Not the snow that's late so much as my processing, just for a change, Actually not much processing done here apart from a little boost to the red - you'll see where! All taken on the same afternoon with a major shift in the weather. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, all, for your comments. For me, it's real "heartland" country, walking distance from where I live, lovely views over all the folds in the land, livestock farming on the hillsides overlooking the big mills and old terraced houses in the valley bottoms, though not many mills still working these days. Add the canal and railway running under the Pennines and you have an area with all kinds of visual appeal!

Lovely - just my cup of tea, both of them!

But is this really Australia? What a contrast with what's happening in NSW!

Had a lovely local walk last week around Pole Moor, with great contrast between the sunlit views to the west and the fog coming in from the east down the Colne Valley. A lot of the fog could have been cleared by the dehaze software, but I really wanted to try and keep as much as possible as the light was so warm and soft. Mainly K3 and DA* 50-135. Hope these appeal! All C&C welcome!

The best ones for me are the flats and cheese grater for the lovely clean lines and interesting perspectives - great clarity as well as eye-catching colours and shapes.
