Always attractive when sunlight transforms something which might otherwise be quite ordinary into something which is interesting/a pleasure to look at. 1, 3 and 5 particularly do this for me. Well captured!

Saw the topic title and thought "Here we go - Brandenburg Gate etc again", but how wrong! Super set of images with a different twist and even the more "traditional" ones have something eye-catching, esp 11,12 and 13.
Better than anything I came up with from my short time there a few years ago! Lovely!

Many of you will, I'm sure, be aware that this summer is seeing a mass migration of painted lady butterflies which occurs only every 10 years or so. The time it happened, an estimated 11 million of them made the journey from Northern Africa. They are capable of flying at up to 1 kilometre altitude and 30 mph (to mix up the metric/non-metric stats!)
Anyway, we had at least 15 on our buddleia bush in the garden yesterday when I had never seen a single one before in the 20+ years we have lived here! Too good a photo app to miss! K3 + DA* 60-250 or K70 + Tamron 90mm macro. Not really macro photography, more like big crops. Loads of futile shutter clicks as the blighters are never still, but a few here I thought worth showing - hope someone agrees! Please feel free to comment!

10 And finally, a comma, another we don't often see in the garden:

Rich colours, sharp focus, great DoF control - no favourites, all good!
