Very selective focus, as you say, David. Is there a hair selectively out of focus on the tram driver's arm? But seriously, good to see you back and with shots of your customary sky-high technical quality and interest.

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park includes a large woodland area with as good a display of bluebells as I can find locally. These are from a couple of weeks ago.

Your dog portraits are consistently top class, Peter, and this one is as good as any I've seen. What's the secret to making the subject stay still long enough?

Thanks for all the further comments. The contrast in weather over a couple of days on the north Norfolk coast around Wells, Blakeney and Holkham produced the difference in cloud cover which made such a difference. I don't think the first three would have been half as appealing with grey skies.

I was wondering how you'd found a high vantage point in Norfolk!

Not that high, but a climb like I had never done before!

Thanks, Serge and Nigel. I'm glad you agree, Serge, on the contribution of the tiny figures - a focal point definitely needed to emphasis the vastness. How to make the vastness of the reed beds interesting with not much brightness in the view was a problem. Fortunately the skies were as you see them and I thought a touch of HDR processing brought out more detail, though others may disagree about that.

Thanks, Steve. Point taken about no. 2. The first, I suppose, is not a true "line" image, though it caught the eye from the top of the church tower!

There's certainly a lot of sky in Norfolk, sometimes eye-catching, sometimes not. I quite like the simplicity/minimalism of some of these. All views welcome!

Last few in this vein, at least for now! From a recent visit to Norfolk.
