A few more from our travels this summer. A selection from the towns and villages of West Cork - Ardgroom, Castletownbere, Schull and Eyeries to name but a few. Hope they brighten your day like they did ours! All K-3 and DA 16-85.

Wow, that's just about every colour on the palette! You've gone for bright and bold which is all very striking. I'm assuming there were no motorcycle books in that last shop!

Fabulous buildings and amazing colours and of course very well taken.

The buildings are not quite as colourful as the Cork accent

Lovely colours, well done. It is a shame the first did not have more even lighting as i am sure that would have been my favourite.

Thank you all for your comments. I've been to Ireland quite a few times over the years (my wife's family is Irish), but I can't recall visiting anywhere as boldly colourful as this.

Ahh what a set,
Sure where else could you have been 😆😆😆
Sometimes I think people just went with whatever paint was on special offer at the time 😂😂😂
really well captured, and I hope your stay was enjoyable and that you felt welcome, hopefully you might get to return and see more of our bright and colourful villages and towns.
I know what i like, If not always why.

This has just reminded me about a certain city in the UK (which shall remain nameless) who brought out a byelaw in a conservation area that buildings and cast iron railings could only be painted BLACK AND WHITE Where did that come from? Well they got it from looking at OLD B&W photos of course

If they'd scraped the paint off some of the balcony's / railings they would have found that the favourite colour of the Edwardians/Victorians was GREEN Which they don't allow
