My wife and I have been enjoying an old favourite - the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Part 2 was probably still in my head the next day, because during my usual morning walk I came across this, which to me looked the spitting image of Treebeard in the film! Is it just me, or does anyone else see it?

Treebeard?

Thanks, all for your appreciation.

Philip, you're quite right - I should have noticed that. These may be more to your taste:

Not a new route, but scenery changing quickly at this time of year and yesterday the early sunlight was irresistible. Hope you like these. Please feel free to comment. K-1 + D FA 28-105mm

Lovely warm light and enough in focus to keep the eye happy. Wouldn’t want to pick a favourite from these, Steve - for me, they’re all equally attractive.

I do like lines in photos, Steve, as you know, and these come with an interesting textural feel to them too. I will say that I'd rather have one of these than the Rhine photo you have linked to! Haven't seen anything like this locally so far this year, but then it's barely springtime up here.

An awe-inspiring location and wonderful photography. The light in no.2 in particular is beautifully captured.

Ee bah gum, Steve, obviously a while since you were up north😂
But more likely due to late planting!

David, they are a variety of narcissus called Pipit (I am reliably informed by my wife!)

And thanks to both of you for your comments!

Thank you, Serge, I think you’re right about the 1000 pixels, though 800 also rings a bell in my mind.
Philip, thank you, too. The colours are exactly as they should be - no colour processing involved at all, which is really why I posted them, as that is what appealed to me in the first place
