A bit later than normal for me, but (I thought!) a few of sufficient interest to show. K-1 + Sigma 70mm. All comments appreciated,

Thank you, all and especially Steve (for subtly correcting my spelling of Centaurea without even mentioning it!)

Thanks, Serge and David - it’s my favourite of this bunch too!

Superb! Both flower and photograph.

In fact, principally my wife's - I take more photos than I do planting etc. At last a couple of calm days when everything stopped madly waving about in the wind, so hope these appeal. Almost all taken with K-1 + Sigma 70. At the moment, I'm almost using the Sigma lens purely for the lovely background it produces. Common names given where I can remember them - botanical names have no chance, I'm afraid!
Comments always welcome.

I like the light in no.5, too - really warm and glowing, with a subject that stands out well against the background.

Same walk as in my last post. The busy view in the third image is just two minutes walk away from the calm open space of the fields and seems to me to illustrate how we have become accustomed to new technologies in our lives.

Thanks for your comments - all these colours turned a regular walk into something really enjoyable!

Gareth - there are lots of those flowers about at the moment, not necessarily in gardens either. I'm not a flower expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I think (after getting my wife's approval) that they are a kind of poppy, possibly known as Californian poppies.

Lots of colour around this week. These are from last Wednesday's daily walk. Today is miserable, wet and windy, so hope these give a bit of enjoyment. All K70 + DA* 50-135. Do feel free to comment.

Looks like a lovely walk, well illustrated, under some gorgeous skies which enhance the landscapes with great clarity. All very attractive.
