Thanks for all the comments. My personal favourites here are 2 and 3, particularly 2. I do like the soft focus with just enough sharpness on the petal edges to give shape and form to the soft tones - IMO, of course!

I like the first one very much. DoF is very effective and the focus of the image is all on the daisies, while the flower heads stand out clearly and effectively against the darker background shade.
I find the background in 2 too strong and fussy - my eye is drawn away from the focus point by its domineering presence. That’s less the case in 3 which I find a more attractive composition.
The colour rendition in all of them is lovely!

A few more from the garden, taken on different days, so different light and different stages of development in some. K-1 with Sigma 70mm bar last two, which were with Pentax FA 28-105. All comments welcome.

Thanks, Peter and John, for your comments. I'm glad you see exactly what I saw and was trying to get across!

Thanks for the comments - glad you like them! Probably not to everyone's taste.
Peter - I appreciate your comment. On my PC, number 10 looks to have plenty of "oomph", but viewed on my phone, not so much.

Not so much sky this time, just an insight into the local moorland, which I find impressive in its barrenness, yet with contrasting patches of farmland.

One day without constant rain or threat thereof in the last week or so, and a couple of separate posts resulting. First up has the emphasis on the sky, which was by turn threatening and promising, over local moorland. Also only the second outing with my latest bargain buy, having part-exchanged my ageing 55-300mm DA ED for the latest PLM version through the Forum. Maybe not in the same league as the FA* 85mm, but I'm not complaining in the slightest. On K-70. All comments welcome.

Super mix of light and shade, particularly in 1 and 3, is very appealing.
