Same old castles featuring as focal points, but the main interest is intended to be the "big skies". Hope that comes through!

Can't get too much of a good thing! We had booked for a week's stay which coincided with the worst of the recent storms. Fortunately for us, the north-east missed the worst. Sun, wind and rain, yes, but just enough to provide some dramatic landscapes. First up are the castles, but, for me, the backgrounds/foregrounds are just as interesting. Hope you agree! All with K-1 and DFA 28-105mm. All comments welcome.

Great variety and lots and lots of interest. Even so, you still have to have the photographic skills to capture it all.

A visit to family at the start of the year. An early morning walk just happened to coincide with what I believe was the "blue hour" - something I had never seen before. Followed by a beautiful morning around Whitley Bay and Cullercoats. All K-1 + DFA 28-105. All comments welcome.

Good weather, don't want to go too far - almost has to be Hardcastle Crags. Sunshine, woodland and water - bliss! K-1 + DFA 28-105mm, please feel free to comment.
