Finally got round to processing these. We have had an occasional visitor in the past, but never before a whole flock of long-tailed tits (12+). A case of quick, grab the camera, then hide behind the shrubbery before they take off again! Not all focussed quite as I would have liked, but actually quite pleased to get any decent shots at all!
K70 + DA 55-300 PLM. (ps. they stayed for about 15 minutes!)

Thanks, John. I think you're right - no stiff mountain climbs here, but a lovely wander through very attractive scenery with lots to catch the eye.

Last of this sequence goes to Little Langdale - a "low level" area I'm not familiar with, but just as appealing as "the tops", I'm sure you will agree. Also has a National Trust site preserving the old slate mines/quarries that gave up so much of the characteristic building material in the Lake District.

Good stuff! There's not many would get the chance to come up with a sequence like this. Well spotted and well captured!

These are lovely, John! Numbers 2 and 3 are so simple yet so striking with a combination of light and colour that emphasises how attractive "simple" nature photos can be. Ditto 4 and 7, where the focus is spot-on. Right up my street!

Thanks for all your comments, folks. We certainly did enjoy the walk, Neil - there's no better way to spend a day out in my opinion!

One of my favourites: Whiteside - Hopegill Head - Whiteless Pike - Rannerdale. Good to have a few people around (inc my walking pal, Keith) to help give perspective to the ups and downs etc.

Can't disagree with the other comments, but I do like the bridge in mid-air, too. Definitely worth a mention.

The rocks make a good subject, esp in the first one. Not quite so sure about the water - it would be interesting to know what the exposure settings were. Did you use a polarising filter?

Great variety of angles and subjects makes for a fascinating blast from the past. What is it about cars like these that has people (mostly men?) drooling?
