Popped around Cardiff Bay for a university project I'm doing. Normally I take a different more pocketable camera from a different brand but decided instead to give the K1 some well overdue love.

All with the K1 and either Irix 15mm, DFA 24-70mm or DA* 60-250mm

Seriously good stuff here, Gareth. I'm not sure if I can state a favourite, (or three). I really like them all. Excellent images. Okay, okay, if pushed, the mono. There again...

How did you find using the Irix 15mm?

No shortage of things to point a camera at there! Fascinating collection of images.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Nice set Gareth. I would consider cropping no.1 to a square format and lose most of the buildings in the left of the frame.

15 and 18 are terrific too.

Enjoyed the whole set Gareth - several have options for changing the format, but it's personal taste really - I think your choices work pretty well for the set

An interesting set, Gareth. I like No.2 in the colour images for the contrast of old and new, No.16 in the mono shots, and No.18 for its composition.

Thanks all! Just noticed some CA on no.13 - school boy error there!

Love this location as there's street, buildings, history etc all in one place. I'm doing a project on this area as part of my uni module,

The Irix can be great but it can also be a right pain in the butt to use as if you're not square on, vertical and horizontal then it'll crucify an image, especially if your angled up or down slightly BUT! having said that, when you get it right, it can be wonderful!

Great variety and lots and lots of interest. Even so, you still have to have the photographic skills to capture it all.

An interesting set of images there Gareth. I like the architectural impact of numbers 1 and 3.

Lots of super images there. I especially like the odd one out, No. 18.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
