Lovely, John - right up my street, as you can probably imagine! Beautiful range of colours and enhanced by the out of focus backgrounds.

Wow, thank you, John! It's always good to read favourable comments, but all the more so when they say more or less what I was hoping they would!

Not really an appropriate place for macro photography, so out with the K-1 and D FA 28-105mm, which is certainly the most flexible lens I possess. The aim was the same as last time in the garden, though: to try and use DoF to emphasise the main subjects of the photos. All opinions welcome!

Thanks for your comments, folks - I'm particularly pleased to see references to the light and the backgrounds, which is what I was hoping would appeal.

At last some colour in the garden! Combined the last rays of sunlight down the side of the house (which is why the cosmos had closed up for the night!) with a deliberate attempt to limit the DoF for better effect. K70 + Sigma 105mm Macro. Feel free to comment!

Lovely images, atmospheric.
Completely agree! The low angle of view suits them, too.

Last day in March. The walk lasted an hour before the run for cover! K70 + Sigma 17-70. Photos posted in order of taking. All comments welcome, as usual.

A cracking collection of Lake District photos, John. I must admit that I don't often walk at "lake level", but your sets show that there's plenty to see (and photograph) at all levels. Lovely!

A National Trust property in North Wales. Maybe a bit early in the year to get the best of it, but impressive nonetheless and the magnolia and daffodils were in full bloom!. All taken with K1 and FA 28-105.
