One of my favourites: Whiteside - Hopegill Head - Whiteless Pike - Rannerdale. Good to have a few people around (inc my walking pal, Keith) to help give perspective to the ups and downs etc.

1 Whiteside ascent

2

3 Whiteside ridge

4 A look back ...

5 ... and another

6 Whiteless Edge

7 Buttermere below on the left, Crummock Water on the right

8 Fascinating topography

9 Buttermere valley with Gables and Scafells on the skyline as we head down

10 Rannerdale, Crummock water and Loweswater in the distance

11 A final look back after a great day!

2 lovely sets of landscapes and interesting skies. I am glad you post them to remind us that there is so much great scenery almost on our doorsteps.

Another enjoyable set John - I feel I'm actually on the walk with you
