I do agree, by the way, that macro close-ups of flowers often do appear either over-saturated or 'off' colour wise. Exposure compensation usually fixes it.

I can't say I've seen anything odd in the colour rendition of these lenses, but in fairness I've never had cause to look closely, but now I do.

It's worth a look on their site.
One variant I use is a sling arrangement with the camera attached by one strap that runs up the sling as you lift the camera to your eye, so no need to release it.
OpTech are not the only game in town, but I've found them very good.

If you want the k3, now's a great time to buy, especially with the SRS deal.
But what do you need? Will the K3 make up for some big failing with the K5, or would new glass improve things for you?
There's another 'but', however, which is would the money you'd be spending on camera kit be better spent elsewhere, or put aside towards whatever Pentax are bringing out this year? The K3, no matter how good it is today, is yesterdays camera and will be superceded by something better tomorrow,
All that existential stuff aside, I see, I buy! But then, I recognise I'm in the fortunate position to do so.
Whilst I understand the physics, in the real world I've seen far too many great results from film-era lenses on digital bodies of all marques to worry about this.
I would just try the lens, and if you like the results, job done.

Hmm, no mention of a touch screen, I was hoping for a touch to refocus in live view. Guess I'll pass on this one.
