So the UK prices are out. They are competetive and fit in the right ball park as they can only drop after some time.

Thaks for the update Chris.

£2k ... better than I thought.

Can you send me one to test at an air show Chris?

Wish I lived nearer ... although maybe not.

Wont be trading in my Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 any time soon then....
Wonder what my FF FA*400 5.6 will be worth now?

Either way I would wait until there is some consumer reports on either lens before taking the plunge...
Will I go for a FF body? probably not, the larger sensor/higher pixel count will only highlight my poor composition more than the K3 already does.....lol

I will be keeping my Sigma 70-200mm OS as well, I don't use it enough to warrant buying the Pentax lens. As for your prime, can't see it going up in value, it really depends on the new zoom .. after all it's f5.6 at 400mm and if it's near the quality of the 60-250mm it will be very good indeed.

Strangely enough I got an email from another retailer this morning with a £100 off each lens code.

These type of lenses normally are, the Nikon and Canon offerings are around the same price.

MTF's, look pretty damn good, not the whole story I know but very promising, the 150-450mm, shows the benefits of going for a three times zoom instead of stretching it out further, sound move...

I can't afford either lens or the new FF model, so I really don't care. And I just got a K3 so I really, really don't care.
