Great results.

Have you by any chance tried this with colour negs and/or slides?

Really nice. Like them all.

You obviously researched this, but in your view does it really matter which camera is the basis for the conversion?

You chose a K30, and you explained why, but was that because you needed to buy a body so that drove your choice?

I ask because I have an immaculate, low mileage, K20D, but no-one has shown any interest in my 'For Sale' post and I'd rather use it than 'give' it away. I've fancied trying infra-red for a while. Tried filters and in-camera effects, but definitely nowhere as good as what you've achieved here.

I bought a K-S1 to use with my Limiteds. Never mind all the nay-saying about grip, lights, etc, it's a great little camera which I found I adapted to very quickly (from my K5II).

Size, weight and balance is great with the smaller lenses; haven't tried it with anything big and/or heavy.

I carry/use it like a compact with a Op/Tech wrist strap and a Kata Grip-10 DL bag (which are/were an amazing price on Amazon recently). IQ is very good.

My photos, however, continue to be rubbish.

This is a great deal from Chris and I'd strongly recommend anyone who's looking for lighter/smaller kit to consider this deal seriously!

They certainly were, I missed one at £99 three times, as I had registered for the new stock and by the time I got the email and tried to buy it was gone.

As 'subject'. I'm aiming to significantly reduce my collection of these magazines.

If anyone is interested in taking some off me please let me know. They're yours for the cost of p&p.

They'll be available in batches as I work through them scanning articles of interest to me.

Issues 118>121 available immediately (Oct to Dec + Christmas 2009)

Whilst there are some things in life I would be prepared to die for, a photo isn't one of them, unless, of course, not taking the photo would result in the death or destruction of someone or something I am prepared to die for.

If the shot was that good, or important, surely you'd want to be around to see the benefit of it or know that it had made a difference?

If you died in the process you'd die ignorant of whether it had, or would, be seen by anyone, and if it were, whether they cared.

Neil P mentioned to me about a screw on the mount (well not actually a screw, more a pin with a slotted head) that had got loose on his DA*300. I located it and turned it and it appears to have done the trick with it now focusing both manually and auto. When you turn this it reaches a point where it feels like it is up against a spring and shouldn't be turned further. Of course it might be because it is back in the warm and something has expanded enough for the clutch mechanism to start working again.
I think you're describing the shaft for/of the screw drive.
