Fewer sections = better stability

More sections = more compact

CF = lighter at greater cost

Alloy = heavier but cheaper

Just tick the criteria that best suits your photograpy

Push the filter gently onto/into the sole of a shoe, then maintaining pressure, unscrew the lens from the filter.

I'D like to try out an old K5 model, but it looks like my only option is a trek down to Watford/ SRS.
But not only will you be able to try out the K5 with a variety of lenses at a very good retailer but also sample the delights of Watford...

I'd think too about the two lens kit.

Although they're very good it seems to me that togs with specific interests upgrade their lenses very quickly, as the two lenses in the two lens kit are ok for general 'jack of all trades' photography but are neither here nor there for specific needs, albeit both are WR.

Just a thought

Nice set John. Who are your three "friends"? They need to learn to keep their elbows tucked in and possibly turn their left hands around to give more support. ARE the Pentaxians as Papa says?
CHEERS Vic.
Snap! I was taught for maximum stability to rest the base of the camera on the palm of my left hand and operate the lens (zoom/focus) with the fingers of my left hand whilst keeping both elbows tucked in.

Notwithstanding, I like the shots

On the other forum one of our countymen insists that the problem lies with the lenses rather than the camera body.
Can you be more specific? Maybe a link? My 50-135 is faster and more accurate on my K5II vs. my K20D, so from my perspective it's body not lens, although I concede the 50-135 is a sluggard compared to other SDM lenses.

Yes the grip does take one battery and yes you can have one battery in the camera and one in the grip.
Additionally, it will/should come with an adapter that allows use of AA batteries instead of Li90.

Now I see! The little glider is the piece of plastic that is used to stop the excess length of strap flapping about.

The fact that it slides easily (and presumably the unsecured excess strap waves about) is a nuisance I'd say, rather than a fault. You could just bind up the flapping strap with a piece of electical tape, etc, if it annoys you.

Normally if you return something as faulty and the retailer returns it as 'fault not found' then postage is down to you, especially as the retailer also incurred postal costs to return it to you after inspection.

You say, however, that the agreement was for a replacement, regardless of whether the original was faulty? If that's the case you need to decide how much principle is worth to you and what, if any action you can/are willing to take against the retailer. There's always negative feed-back.

Agreed! I have a Pro strap and haven't a clue what the little glider is

So, doesn't seem to support RAW files and definately nothing above 200MB per image.

Not much good for storage then?
