Yes the grip does take one battery and yes you can have one battery in the camera and one in the grip.

Additionally, it will/should come with an adapter that allows use of AA batteries instead of Li90.

Great stuff thanks for help guys its only a 3 rd party thought i best try 1st see if i like before shelling £200 odd quid on an genuine one.

Set battery priority to grip first- makes things easier (if you have another spare battery to put straight in).
