The image restriction of 1000 pixels is what is suggested for the forum, but not for the Gallery. This is simply so the forum pages load faster and avoids the forum software doing resizing for us.

You will find that larger images load perfectly well into the competition are of the Gallery. See the Guidelines for details.

It's delightful to greet people from all over the world, but we do ask that you speak in English on this forum.

Google translates what you have written as

Quote:
I think this camera has been idle for some time.
I have a new battery and a new film inserted and the camera has successfully loaded the film.
Occasionally, however, when I turn it on, the display will show a U2 or U3 error code.
What does that mean and what are the prospects for self-regulation?
In addition, the lens mechanism is quite loud. Is it worth it to lubricate the gears?
(As a practical person, I can fix most things, from the computer to gasoline mowers!)

Such things as woodwork and shape of prism cover are an unnecessary irrelevance.
In terms of pure photography I absolutely agree with you.

How do you feel about the revenue generation that such trims create though? If people want to buy special edition cameras, usually at a premium price, perhaps it appeals to the aesthetic sense within us, maybe the collector, maybe it increases the overall desirablilty of the marque. But it does generate money, which is then available for R&D and marketing.

We've had the same grumbles since for ever on this forum, no matter what gets introduced, but if we step back and look at what has been achieved then it's actually quite a lot. Including just about everything that we asked for. Each and every idea has no doubt generated its own bit of revenue and thus helped the mainstream DSLR kit to expand.

We now have more lenses available that in the heady days of the 1970s and 1980s, we have several APS-C bodies, we have the K-1 and K-1 II in full frame, we have the 645Z in medium format. I use a K-3 II and a K-1 at the moment, and what might come next isn't of much relevance until I need to replace for some reason. When the time comes, I'll look at the options then. In the meantime I'm not going to stress about it.

I would guess we will have a new APS-C flagship in due course, but let Pentax get it right and take the time to do so. It was difficult to improve on the Spotmatic as a camera, so it stayed for a very long time and was only superceded by technological advances rather than any need as it was pretty much spot on. The same could be said of the current cameras. Apart from advancing technology and incremental improvements, is there really any major improvement to be had?

The Japanese seem to like customisation, but to be honest I could be quite partial to having a unique version myself. I have a nice green Pentax Q-S1 that looks prettty good! It takes pictures as well.

Fantastic shot, beautifully sharp without being over-sharpened and gorgeous colour.

Indeed, SRS organised it all and they were totally brilliant, as usual!

They have just done a warranty repair on my K-1, and it's all 100% OK.

Three Ricoh cameras, don't forget the industrial version G900.

There are surely several APS-C bodies to use the 11-18mm lens on? It could sit very happily on my K-3 II.
