I wanted to see if I could find any difference in the sharpness settings.
I can't see any, and if you shot these RAW there won't be any difference because the RAW image is unaffected by some settings, including sharpness.
Thanks
John

Last week I set up CIF on a bird bath. Camera was set to take continious pictures with a IR remote. Camera was switched on for 7 hours and shot about 200 pictures before the camera died. Rear screen was switched off.

Do you have the camera attached to the QR plate in the right direction? I cant see how changing from landscape to portrait needs a leg to be adjusted.

i have a giottos MTL 9361B tripod with MH5001 pan/tilt head and there is no problem moving up and down in portrait position with this. it may be your head is not 3 way pan/tilt

Have just been outside with my K5 and M100 @ f8 1/240 iso 400.
Used CIF but used the focus ring to fire the shutter instead of moving the camera closer. I think for me it lets me keep the camera steadier, the downside is if you turn the focus ring quickly it can be off by the time shutter fires. Of course if I am not quick enough the Hoverfly moved.
