Yes I just moved back 3ft

I have turned on catch in focus on my K5 as per P134. lens is DA 18-135. I focused on a chair with half press of shutter button then moved back 3ft and presed the shutter full down and an out of focus chair was taken at that time. What am I doing wrong.

What are your favourite user settings for K5.

I bought a K5 with the 18_135 lens from Clifton Cameras last week and it has went up by £80.00 since then.

In touch with the camera shop today and have sent back the lens and they will dispatch a new one tomorrow.

Had uploaded the pictures to my PC.

135 F5.6 1/250s
55-200 F8 1/125s

I don't mind changing lenses but was wanting to take quite a lot of pictures in the rain etc, hence the 18-135

I did take photos with both lenses on both cameras but the ones on the Kx were not good enough to compare. Perhaps I am being unreasonable but if I had thought the 18-55, 50-200 were going to give me better shots I would have saved some money and just used the old ones. I also liked the idea of not having to change lenses so often. Every revue I have read has given the 18-135 higher marks than the 18-55 50-200.

I have a Kx with the 18-55 & 50-200 and have just bought a K5 with the 18-135. I love the K5 but am very disapointed with the 18-135. Yesterday I took some pictures of a castle in the distance at 135 with both lenses and it was like night and day. Love the speed of autofocus and quitness of it but all my pictures at all focal leangths are just that little bit soft. And to think that this was the dear option.

What I should have typed was how do I check the AF of the lens.

I have the 18-135 lens. How do I go about setting the AF on the lens

My new K5 with 18-135 lens is just out of the box and I am sitting at this screen typing this because I have to wait for the battery to charge.

I have a Kx with the 18-55 & 50-200 lens kit but felt that I wanted to upgrade as I have joined a camera club and even though I have had a few placings and a 1st. All you lot raving about the K5 just made me want one. Was going to get the body only and use my old lenses but found a site that was doing intrest free credit so had to get the 18-135. Now all I have to hope that santa will get me the 100 2.8 macro WR.
