So I am right in thinking in using the polariser with a focal length of say 18mm could have caused this problem and I really should only use above 35mm?

I have just purchased a curcular hoya polariser and I noticed when using with my 16-45mm lens that there is a dark band in the centre of my blue skies. I have never seen this before when I used to use a polariser with fim, any ideas?

Hi

I have just installed Elements 7 and am presently going through the book " The Missing Manual", However I am finding it all a bit daunting. I am finding that I am prbaly trying to do to many things and in the wrong order. I am shooting mainly raw files but also some JPEG's. My work is mostly landscapes. I just looking for a few tweaks here and there to end up with a good looking final image which I would probably wish to print off to A4 size of just store for the future. I usually like to crop a bit of images and sharpen ( when I find the best way to sharpen). If anyone could suggest a logical workflow that I might follow I would be very grateful. Also anything I should really get to learn or avoid?

Cheers

Johna

Hi

Iam trying to get to grips with my first DSLR which is a K200D. If any other users out there can offer any advice on what settings are worth turning on/off etc I would be grateful as there is a lot to learn. What about Noise control setting?

Regards

Johna

Thanks I will check out those tomes. So does that mean I have to import each one of my saved images in to the organiser from the hard drive, f so that sounds a nightmare or am I missing a trick.

I am just trying to get to grips with PSE7 trail version. It is all very new to me and a bit daunting. Can anyonye reccomend a text that will explain everything in detail. Also When I open my other editing programmes I use like HP Image Zone and Piccassa all my photos are there but I dont seem to be able to find them in PSE7?

I have a K200D and have had major dust problems. I purchased a Gittos Rocket as advised, and all this managed to achieve was to blow dust up in to the viewing screen which I cannot now remove. I see artic butterflies mentioned but they seem tremendously expensive. I have also read about fluids but there seems too much confusion about which is the correct fluid to use for my sensor. How's about a gentle breath on the sensor and a soft cotton bud? I have attched a recent shot so hopefully someone can confirm that these marks are indeed dust.

On my editing prgramme when I wish to rezize I get the option of rezizing by number of pixels or a percentage figure and therfore I am unsure how to rezize so it is A4 size and ready to print like suggested above. Neither do I have the option of changing DPI?

I have been given Serif PhotoPlus 9 of which I know nothing about. I am just thinking about purchasing Elements 7 but perhaps I should find out more about Serif. Does anyone have any experience of this package and what it brings to digital photography editing compared to Elements 7?
