I was following the reason that if I made the image size slightly bigger than the paper then it would get rid of the white edge I get when I make the image the exact size. Am I misunderstanding something here John? Also I am noticing that when in page set up I select paer size A4 or boredrless A4 210x297 exit and then go back into page set up it seems to change my size to letter each time?

Thanks John but I seem to be doing all that. As I said I even made the image size slightly bigger than the paper. From Page set up I choose Landscape A4 when I go to print I select centre on page. When I go to printer preferences I again choose borderless printing and A4 paper size but still get about 2mm white border, but frustratingly not on all prints and I cant think I am doing anyhting different.

Hi

Can someone please help I have been trying to print to A4 210x297mm. I have resised my images to correct size. Used page set up from elements 7 and set my printer to the correct settings A4 210x 297 borderless prints. I checked print preveiw and it seemed OK but almost ecery print I have tried comes out with about5 mm of white border along one of the long sides. I even tried resising my photos to 230 x 310 so they would be bigger than the paper but it still seems to happen. I dont understand how this happens or why but it has me tearing my hair out. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong and how I can stop this happening before everyone starts calling me baldy. Arrrrrrrrr!

Regards

Johna

I would like to convert some of my images in to postcards and greeting cards for my local shop. I am looking for advice on where I can buy raw materials in the UK for these purposes. I guess I would print them myself on the inkjet. I would be just printing out the images on to 6x4 or 5x3 photopaper and then fixing them some how to the bought blank cards. Also what is the best way to display a title and photographers details.

Many thanks
Johna

Hi

Having read through this topic I am a slightly confused ( the confusion lies in my mind not with the posts on here) I am using a HP laptop and ink jet printer and using elements 7 for my editing. How would you suggest that I tackle my col management system and what is the best way to calibrate my monitor. I am guessing form what I have read that WYSIWYG is probably my best option? or I need to purchase some other software? Any advice would be gratefully recieved. Am I also corect in thinking to let my PC handle the colour and not my printer?

Hi

I was wondering what are my best options for getting great B&W prints from my ink jet. I am using Elements 7 as my editing programme and have a decent HP printer. I am unsure if I should be buy a special paper for B&W or just use HP best quality papers. Also I am getting very frustrated by trying to print images without borders of anykind but seem to fail miserably despite following what seems to be straight forward instructions.

I am looking at the DA 55-300mm and the 50-200mm and can't decide which would be the better purchase. Does anyonye have experience of either of these two lenses. I am worried that the 300mm may be too heavy, long, and clumsy for carrying on to the mountains with me. Also is there and big difference in quality?

Hi

I am wanting to purchase elements 7 and I see Amazon has a few used ones for 24 pounds. Can anyonye offer advice on buying used versions of this programme? It does say with unique serial number. What are the dangers of buying a used ( but like new) version.

I notice that in the discussion people have mentioned 100% and 200% crops; what is meant by this please?
